Sunday, September 24, 2017, Chairman Hal Walker was honored with the Faith of our Fathers award from the Holman United Methodist Church United Methodist Men on Men's Day Sunday. Alex Johnson, Managing Director, Californians for Safety and Justice was the Guest Speaker.
The A-MAN cofounder with his wife, Dr. Bettye Walker, established the Holman A-MAN STEM Technology Center at the Holman church in 2003.
The background for the implementation of the Holman/A-MAN Tech Center in the Church Education Building begins with Pastor Emeritus James M. Lawson, Jr. The Pastor arranged for Hal and and church member Wilborn to attend the United Methodist Church Black Science Project Conference in Washington, D.C. in 1999.
The Holman A-MAN STEM Tech Center is located in the Education Building in Room 9. Students attend from October to May, 2-5 pm Monday through Friday.
