Extracurricular Activities:

    Kaiya tested, applied and was accepted into the Science & Technology program at Charles Herbert Flowers High School where she is currently a soon to be graduating student. 

    After her graduation in May 2008, she will be attending Augusta State University.  She applied and was also accepted at Penn State University as well.

    Her academic focuses have revolved around the Natural Sciences and Mathematics.  She recently conducted her research practicum project at George Washington University, Washington, DC, Gastreonology Department.  She has increased her familiarity in the laboratory environment and gained experience in conducting original research.  Her mentors have given her high accolades for her hard and very dedicated work.

    She is also concurrently enrolled at Prince Georges County Community College.  Her concentration there includes Applied Calculus 1 & 2.

    Kaiya’s love for mathematics has influenced her to become a mathematics tutor for grades 5-8 students.  She volunteers in the “Mathemagicians Tutoring” program at the Suitland Community Center.
