The Technology Center was established to meet the expanding vision of Holman to serve the community and especially our youth. Holman partnered with the A-MAN International Science Discovery and Learning Center to implement the A-MAN National Replication Program Model which includes churches and centers around the country.
A-MAN, Inc. received a grant from the Los Angeles Community Development Department with the support of Herb Wesson, Councilmember, 10th District.
As a result, the Center will be staffed and open Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, annually from October thru May in Room 9 of the Education Building. The After-School program is open to elementary and secondary students.
To deliver an interactive technology curriculum and an interactive Christian educational content to attract youth and adult volunteers. The Speakers Bureau requests professionals to share careers with students.
High school and college students can volunteer and receive a certificate of community service.
The Center Coordinator, instructor and teacher assistant collaborate and are responsible for the day to day operations and supervision.
Activities: computer technology, book club, hands-on science and technology projects, health awareness, fine arts, tutoring and mentoring.
